Cooking with children can be a wonderful way to spend quality time together. While having fun, children also learn new skills and are inspired to eat healthier.
Choose recipes that are simple, nutritious, and tempting for children to eat. Here are a few tips:
Ice cream
Ice cream is always a hit with both kids and adults. This recipe is quick and easy:
300 g frozen raspberries
500 ml whipping cream
3 tbsp Sukrin Gold (add 1 tbsp Sukrin Plus if you want an extra sweet ice cream)
1/2 tsp vanilla powder
Mix all the ingredients together using a stick blender.
Freeze and serve with fresh raspberries.
Should be taken out of the freezer and put in the fridge one hour before serving.
Pizza
Making your own pizza is something most children enjoy. If you have a packet of Protein Bread Mix, it’s quick to prepare the base. Mix the packet with 400 ml of water, divide the dough into two equal parts, and roll them out into two round pizza bases. Pre-bake the pizza bases for around 10 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. Then just add your preferred sauce and toppings.
If you prefer to make the dough from scratch, we have a great recipe for a fibre-rich pizza base here.
