White rolls with fibre

Delicious white rolls with two healthy twists: more fibre than wholemeal bread and a considerably lower GI.

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add in the milk and water. Heat everything until it reaches approx. 40 degrees Celsius, then mix it with the dry ingredients. Knead the dough well together, cover it, and set to rise for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 12 pieces and shape into rolls. Place them on the baking tray, then cover the white rolls with a kitchen cloth and set to rise for 40 minutes in a warm room.

Wash the rolls with water or milk and sprinkle them with either poppy or sesame seeds. Bake the white rolls for 12–15 minutes.

Tip: If you want to make bread from this dough, bake it for about . 30 minutes.
