Shortcrust apple cake

The perfect combination of apple cake and apple pie - and absolute heaven with vanilla ice cream.

Crumble flour and butter together. Mix in Sukrin Gold and baking powder. Lightly beat the eggs together, add to the bowl, and knead the dough well. Add a bit more flour if the dough is too soft.

Divide the dough in half and press one portion into a cake pan. Peel apples and cut into wedges, about 1 cm thick, and lay in the dough. Sprinkle cinnamon and 1-2 tablespoons of Sukrin Gold over the top.

Roll sausages from the other half of the dough and create a lattice top. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

Serve with a generous tablespoon of vanilla yogurt and optionally a mint leaf. The cake should be stored at room temperature.
