Roasted almonds are an absolute Christmas must - surprise your friends and family with these healthier, homemade ones.
250 g almonds
90 g Sukrin Gold
25 ml water
1 tbsp. butter
Spread the almonds on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and roast in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
Place Sukrin Gold and the water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan or frying pan, bring to a boil, then add in the almonds. Leave to simmer at medium heat until the liquid has thickened and turned brown, and the almonds have turned darker i colour.
Add the butter and leave to simmer for another few minutes, until the mixture turns golden brown and glossy. Fish the almonds out of your dish and place on a greased baking sheet. Separate the roasted almonds using two forks before they cool completely.
