Fibre-rich, fine scones

Delicious and easy scones - perfect for a healthier breakfast treat.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Mix the dry ingredients and carefully stir in the butter, yogurt, and milk until you get a smooth, even dough. Be careful not to overwork the dough.

Roll or pat the scones dough out to approx. 2 cm thickness, and cut out round scones (if you don’t have a scone cutter, you can simply use a round glass). Wash the scones with milk.

Bake the scones on the middle rack for 12–15 minutes until they’ve raised and turned golden. Serve the scones warm with your favourite toppings and jams.

Tip: Scones are well-suited for freezing; make a large batch next time you bake.
